Poster announcing 'POST-IT PORT HOPE' exhibition and sale, featuring a grid of colorful squares, with a yellow sticky note that says 'Critical Mass presents...' and details about an opening reception on August 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at The Little Station.

For this year's Post-It Port Hope show, I created a tiny series of six illustrations on bright 3 × 3 inch post-it notes. Each drawing features a little organism I’ve actually seen through a microscope: a daphnia, a rotifer, a vorticella, a pollen grain, and a mushroom spore.

These little squares became a chance to play, explore, and share the excitement I feel when I look at life up close. I loved taking something usually hidden from our everyday view and turning it into something you can hold in your hand.

Every drawing comes straight from moments spent watching these creatures swim, spin, pulse, or drift. They might be tiny, but they are full of personality. Even on a tiny scrap of paper, each one feels lively and full of its own weird charm.

This series is my way of celebrating the small things that make our world feel huge. If you lean in close, you might catch a bit of the wonder that pulled me in too.
